Sony Vaio UX1XN | Ultra Portable PC

Many companies have attempted to enter the Ultra Portable PC market. The latest attempt is the impressive Sony ultra-portable PC that was recently announced,the Vaio UX1XN. Unlike many other models, this ultra portable PC really seems to deliver the goods.

It is almost a PC because the Sony Vaio UX1XN allows the user to access the web while also enjoying multimedia content like pictures or movies. Another thing that distinguishes this portable PC is its horsepower: an Intel Ultra-Low Voltage processor plus 1GB of memory. This makes the Vaio UX1XN very responsive and more than able to run Windows Vista.

As for the portable aspect the Sony Vaio UX1XN is very compact (it fits into the user hand) and also very light (approximately 480g). The reduced dimensions do not penalize the Sony ultra portable PC because it sports a 4.5-inch widescreen display. the display sceen is designed to give the best image possible even in poor light conditions.

When the VAIO UX1XN is used for business purposes it also offers the user a handy (for a portable PC) keyboard. The keys are visible after sliding the 4.5-inch widescreen display. The data entered (as all the data stored on the Vaio UX1XN) is saved on a 32GB flash memory. This solution allows this Sony ultra portable PC to be faster in responding to user input and makes the Vaio UX1XN a safe place to store data (because of the absence of mechanical parts).
